Accessibility

Compass aims to be usable by everyone, regardless of how they access the web. This page describes the standards we hold ourselves to and how to reach us if you hit a barrier.

Standards

We target WCAG 2.2 AA. Colour contrast, focus indicators, semantic headings, and screen-reader labels are part of how we build, not something bolted on. We test with VoiceOver and TalkBack before shipping major changes.

Motion

Compass uses gentle motion throughout (fades, scroll reveals, halo breathing). Every animation respects your system prefers-reduced-motion setting. If you have it on, the app stays still.

Touch targets and type

Interactive elements aim for a minimum 44×44 px tap target. Body type starts at 13 px and scales with your system text size; nothing in the app overrides browser zoom.

Known gaps

We are an early-stage product and have not yet completed an independent accessibility audit. Some chart elements (the trajectory dial, this-month bar chart) currently rely on colour to convey meaning; we are adding text-equivalent summaries before the public beta. Tell us where you hit friction — feedback shapes the audit priorities.
